Product Grades – True Assessments of Learning
Four (4)Types:
Class I (Major) 40%
Class II (Minor) 35%
Mid-Term / Benchmark – 10%
Final / EOCT – 15%
Process Grades – Participation in Learning Support Assignments
0-5 Points Added to Each Major Unit / Class I Assessment
Process Grade Average / Point Earning Scale
Below 50 = 0, 50’s = 1, 60’s = 2, 70’s = 3, 80’s = 4, 90-100 = 5
LHS Failure Is Not An Option (FNO)
Policy Does Not Apply to AP Courses
Failure of Class I Assessment – One Mandatory Re-Do
Failure on Re-Do Attempt – Further Re-Do is Teacher Option
Non-Failure – Student Option to Improve Grade (One Attempt)
Failure of Class II Assessment – Re-Do is Teacher Option
Extra Credit – No Extra Opportunities
Exam Exceptions – No Re-Do:
Mid-Term, Benchmark, Final or EOCT
Remediation / Re-Do Opportunities In Class / Teacher Supervised
