These websites are maintained independently of LaGrange High School by various institutions and organizations. Some of the links will be inactive based on the server conditions of the hosts. Career Search and Questionnaire (from College Board) Career Search is a way to find out about jobs and careers. If you already know what you want to do, go ahead and browse the list of Career Categories. Select a career to learn what to expect from a job and what to do in school so that you can work toward the job you want. You'll find out about training and qualifications, what earnings to expect, and what the future holds for each occupation. Not sure what you want to do? Take the questionnaire to match your likes and dislikes with possible careers.

Career  View from College View contains a career directory and occupational search, plus information on job hunting, interviewing, resume writing, salary and educational information, etc. Matches careers with colleges that offer programs in that area and allows you to request information from them.

Military Careers Online has links to all branches of the U.S. military service, and it gives you details on 152 enlisted and officer occupations, one by one. Because most military occupations are comparable to one or more civilian occupations, you are given the civilian counterpart for every applicable military occupation. In addition, this site describes training, advancement, and educational opportunities within each of the major Service.

Occupational Outlook Handbook Look up every imaginable career and research salaries, working conditions, and employability outlook.

Resume Tutor will help you write a better resume. Career Mosaic also has a Resume Writing Center.

Study Guides and Strategies from University of St. Thomas Wow! This site has everything, and is designed for middle and high school students rather than college students. Taking good notes, managing time, avoiding procrastination, memorizing and setting goals -- all are critical to getting good grades.

Study Strategies a website with excellent study and preparation gudies and suggestions for home study.

Study Skills Self-Help Information (from Virginia Tech) covers such issues as distractions, concentration, motivation, priorities, stress, and memory. Ten rational tips on how to beat the procrastination blues, help with reading scientific material, constructing a term paper, and proofreading.
